What do resilience and a podcast have in common?
If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you’ve seen my recent big announcements!
I’m starting 1:1 Resilience Coaching services for womxn.
I’m starting a podcast called MigrAsians about creative and political Asians and their migration stories.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These might sound like two very different things, but they are actually quite similar.
I love writing, speaking, and connecting with others. So much of what I have written is a call to action for us to be a better version of ourselves and to contend with the injustices in society.
As a coach, my foundation is healing and justice. It will always be grounded in feminism and anti-racism. I called this “Resilience” Coaching because womxn so often get knocked down and have to bounce back up. Why not have a coach that is there for you when you need it the most? Why not learn how to tap into that resilience to see what you really want? I have worked with people at all levels in the corporate world, the healthcare world, and all levels of education. I’ve worked as a consultant, speech-language pathologist, group facilitator, and librarian. These skills have given me tremendous knowledge that I am excited to apply in the space of healing and justice. I also plan to host some webinars to practice resilience, which I’ll announce over the next six months!
My podcast, MigrAsians, will center Asian stories. I will interview artists, activists, and more to engage in conversations around identity and action. How have different migration stories shaped us into who we are? What does that mean? Why are these stories important? How does Model Minority myth factor into life choices? What lies ahead? If you weren’t sure, Asia is a BIG continent. I’m eager to interview Asians from all types of backgrounds with all types of interests.
The common themes between coaching and the podcast are stories, connections, and worth. This is why I’m embarking upon this journey - because there’s more than one way of sharing ourselves and building community.
Please follow me on Instagram, check out my website, and please please please support MigrAsians on Patreon. I want this podcast to be AMAZING - this means great production, accessible transcripts, and more. Head over to Patreon to see what different levels of exchange can offer you.
Thank you again, and pass this on to anyone that resonates with this message.
With love,
Nisha
