i am enough: a list
twenty stories, feelings, and sensations
A response to my last post “i’m not enough: a list” - please read the invitation after the photo at the end.
who decided “best”?
a lightness flows, curiosity opens
fluttering, the good kind
fluttering, an open wound
you know a lot, but you look to others
power sweeps away
remembering is a column of presence
reframe: do you like them?
pulled chest, mind blown
old gum won’t stick forever
you make your own notes
to you, for you, from you
filled knowing
lifted chest, looking out
now
mistakes are high stakes
lessons are good stakes
“i know myself”
“my wounds are my liberation”
grounded easeful surrender
What did you feel in “i’m not enough: a list” compared to this one? Comment and let me know!

This is so beautiful! I love the contrast between the two pieces. I think 5 & 6 especially stood out to me because I've been doing a lot of work recently on my tendency to people please. It has almost become a reflex for me to give my power away, to cater to what I think others want or expect of me. I'm trying to take that power back.
really love this, and how this one reads like a poem. so i noticed that the ones quoted toward the end in the previous one were in 2nd person and the ones quoted in this one were in the first person. some of the parts in "i am not enough" felt like statements where i wasn't sure who the speaker is (like should these have quotations marks, too? why don't they). in this one, the "you" feels less antagonized and more like self speaking to self from a more grounded, neutral place
